Hey guys! :)
I have been LOVING learning so much about families. It has been so fun and I have for sure learned that I am beyond passionate about families. I hope the things I share can make sense to each of you. I am not super good with words so just bear with me on this journey! :) I've been reflecting so much on family lately. It's really interesting to think that we all come from different backgrounds and all of us have different stories. We were all raised differently! We also all have different relationships with our families. Some of us were raised with loving parents and some of us were not. Some of us have loving siblings who are our best friends and some of us do not. You get my point, each relationship is different. Each family is different. GUYS, I love my family!!!! I have been so blessed with the greatest parents, siblings, and nephews. They make my heart FULL! I cannot wait to one day have my own family. My greatest desire and my dream is to be a wife and a Mother. WHY?! Some of you may think that’s crazy or not understand why on earth that, out of all things that is my dream. Well let me share with you some things that I know and believe to be true. I know that we have a loving, kind, caring, gentle, and all knowing Father in Heaven who is aware of each of us, His children. How flipping amazing is that? A loving Father in Heaven! He truly is the Father of our spirits. He sends each of us to this earth to gain physical bodies so we can learn, so we can progress, so we can make choices and one day, if we do all we can to follow Him, return and live with Him again! I believe that families can and are meant to be sealed together forever through temples. He gives us families so we can experience joy and love. We are meant to love, support and help each other. So again, why would my dream be to be a wife and a Mother? It’s simply because nothing in this world brings more happiness or joy to my heart than knowing my Father in Heaven trusts me to be an earthly mother to some His spirit children. AND I will get to raise those precious children with my best friend, the person I will love for all of eternity. (call me sappy, I know, but, I seriously cannot wait for that haha) Heavenly Father loves each of us so much. President Uchtdorf said this, “Think of the purest, most all-consuming love you can imagine. Now multiply that love by an infinite amount—that is the measure of God’s love for you.” Is that not amazing? It is way more than we can comprehend. I know He does love us. I’ve felt His love in my own life, and I’ve felt the love He has for those I served as a missionary. I also feel a huge amount of love for children. There is something so special about them. To know they come straight from heaven, from our Heavenly Father amazes me. It amazes me that He sends His precious little spirits to us, on this earth, and He is trusting us to love them, to teach them right, to take care of them. How it must hurt Him when we do not do that and when we don’t teach them of Him. It is so important to include our Father in Heaven in our relationships. All of them! Especially when we are considering having children. I know that there are certain spirits that are meant for me and my future husband. There are certain spirits that are meant to come and be in your family! I would never want one of my future children, who are meant for me, to go to any other family, or to find out that I stopped them from coming to be with my family. This is why it is so important we include our Savior in all we do. In our families, in our decisions, our relationships and in our lives. Our Father in Heaven lives and loves each of us. It is a special, incredible gift to be a part of a family and to be a spouse and parent. I love my Heavenly Father, I love my Savior, I love my family and I know that as we involve our Heavenly Father in all that we do, He will lead us and guide us down right paths and bless us with more happiness than we can comprehend in our individual lives and in our families! xox, Sarah
